This might have been a better fit in an email, but the above quote really hit me.
It describes me at work; how on the edge I feel there sometimes.  Hell, most of the time.  With no power to any anything about all the insane procedures other than obey them, checking out or a conflagration seem like good options.   
I was going to say &quot;mindless obey them,&quot; but the entire problem is that I can&#039;t mindlessly do anything.  If I could, perhaps the job wouldn&#039;t eat me away as much as it does.</description>
